The Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium (ICCLOS) is a powerhouse destination for some of the largest events in the country. Every day brings something new with hundreds of events throughout the year and annual events such as the Big Ten Football Championship game, FDIC International, Gen Con, Indiana Black Expo, Indiana Comic Con, National FFA, and PRI.
This position is a skilled, hourly position providing technical theatrical equipment set-up and tear down as well as support for events. Work will occur at both the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.
DUTIES :
QUALIFICATIONS :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong skills in most current and various theatrical and AV elements and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and professionally and possess strong interpersonal skills as they will be interacting directly with clients, production companies, exhibitors, contractors, and other users of our facilities. Must be able to work events, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedule.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and apply for membership to IATSE after 30 days of employment (if applicable). Bachelor’s Degree and IATSE Membership preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT :
This position requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, repeated bending and crawling. Constant lifting maximum 50 pounds with carrying weight of 40 pounds and pushing weight of 100 pounds. Occasional climbing ladders and pulling hand over hand. Frequent noise above 85 dbA and occasional noise above 95 dbA.
COMPUTER SKILLS :
Must have basic computer knowledge, including Word, Excel, Google/Chrome/Android and ability to learn computer controlled sound and lighting systems in the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.
