We are looking for a Roll-Off Waste Collection Driver to work out of our Jersey City Depot (264 Broadway, Jersey City, NJ 07306) . This full-time, union position comes with an overnight schedule starting between 7pm and 9pm, Sunday through Friday, with shift lengths of 10 to 12 hours, depending on operational needs. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a Roll-Off Truck for picking up waste and recyclable materials. Transport materials to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities, and perform multiple trips as needed during your shift. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and report any issues. Monitor safety and service-related concerns and promptly communicate them to your Route Supervisor or Dispatch. Engage professionally with customers and address service-related complaints with courtesy. Ensure all containers are completely emptied and leave the customer's area clean and tidy. Maintain communication with Dispatch regarding any route issues or customer requests. Attend all required training and monthly safety meetings to enhance your skills. Keep your work area clean and adhere to Corporate/OSHA standards. Other relevant duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and mount/dismount the truck multiple times during the shift. Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States. Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement and a clean driving record is required. At least 1 year of experience driving a vehicle requiring a CDL A or B. Minimum of 1 year experience specifically driving and operating a Roll-Off Truck. Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and relevant traffic regulations. Effective communication in English, both spoken and written. Able to read maps and navigate effectively.
